Lilly's Cafe is a Vietnamese Deli/Restaurant in the MT Supermarket Plaza at 10901 North Lamar Blvd in Austin. And, if you don't believe a suburban American kid like me, my wife was born and raised in Vietnam , and Lilly's is her favorite Vietname restaurant in Austin. Here's what you won't get at Lilly's: they have no website, they don't even have a listing in Google Maps or YellowPages.com. They do no promotion of any kind. You order at the counter, deli-style. The restaurant is tiny: just a few tables. They do a brisk take out business: a devoted following of Vietnamese Austinites continually visit and leave with bags of baguettes. What you will get is the following: Vietnamese sandwiches are $3 or less, and absolutely divine. They have a range of soups and main dishes as well, such as Bun Bo Hue and Bo Kho. The Bo Kho is among the best we've had anywhere. They bake fresh french baguettes all day long, so you are likely to have your sandwich on a fresh, steamy baguette.
